Did you know…
- That the top 40% of caloric beverage drinkers (soda, juices, etc) in the United States consume over 760 calories a day from beverages?
- That the average American drinks over 450 calories per day?
- That it takes 1.5 hours of running to work off 500 calories?
One of the healthiest things that you can do for yourself this year is to significantly reduce your soda and juice intake – or better yet – completely eliminate them!
Your body is about 88% water. Water’s caloric content is zero. It is necessary for digestion and the elimination of toxins. All systemic metobolism processes utilize water. Not thirsty for water? When you are water-starved, the body shuts off its thirst mechanism to survive – begin to drink enough water and proper thirst returns. Adults need a minimum of one gallon of water each day for the body to function normally. If ill, a person needs extra water. An easy rule of thumb, take your body weight, divide it in half and that is the number of ounces you need each day if you are relatively healthy. Drink more if not. Filtered water or reverse osmosis water are excellent choices, energy-energy charged water is not.
This could be a simple thing to begin this year to help you become the healthier person you desire to be. Let’s get healthier! Make healthier choices starting now!
Drink Water Instead!
